info
With a BA degree in law and an MA in translation, my experience spans financial translation (annual financial reports, quarterly and half-yearly results, financial press releases), editorial translation (brochures, newsletters, corporate communication, catalogues, advertising and marketing texts) and literary translation (for example the children's book La Grande Fleur by Yves Pinguilly, which I translated into both English and Afrikaans).
I work regularly on English copywriting projects, particularly in the fashion industry, writing product descriptions for the e-commerce websites of leading fashion houses, and brand platforms for luxury brands seeking to define their identity.
I also work on proofreading projects, in particular in collaboration with South African Michelin-starred chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen on his bi-annual JAN journal.
Living in France from 2005 to 2014, I have since returned to Cape Town in my native South Africa. I have dual French and South African citizenship.
